What’s your boggart?👻

The power of fear can be paralyzing. It can hold us back from pursuing our dreams, trying new things, or taking risks that can lead to growth and success.

Last night, I had a special moment with my son 👩‍👦.⚡We started reading Harry Potter and Prisoner of Azkaban together. We came to the part about Boggarts 👻 , the invisible creatures that turn into the thing you fear the most. To defeat it, you have to focus your mind on something funny.

🧙 JKR uses boggarts as a metaphor to represents fear in our real lives. My son and I recounted some of our fears and discussed how to overcome them. It’s amazing how even through a fictional story we can have meaningful conversations about fear.

🤦‍♀️ Ironically, I have been struggling with fear myself. Sometimes I focus on things that don’t even exist, like the boggart. Those that lurk in the recesses of our mind.. ready to pounce at any moment.

Fear is a common thread that runs through the fabric of human existence. We all have, and it affects us in different ways. It can manifest as anxiety, panic, or indecision, holding us back from our true potential.

How I turn this boggart into something funny, you may ask 🤷‍♀️ …

📕 Reading Harry Potter to my son
🎬 Watching Netflix
🍲 Cooking for fam
🚶‍♀️Hitting my 10k steps and closing my rings ⌚
Repeat this everyday. All of this are not funny, but they definitely do bring a smile on my face 😃

👻 What’s your boggart.. and how do you face it 👀 ?

Remember… “Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times, when one remembers to turn on the light”.
